What an amazing weekend being immersed with God!

Being Lead by GPS (God's Personal Servant)

On a recent business trip to northern Virginia a territory that I am not familiar with I was in need of a GPS (global positioning system) to help guide me to my destinations. I spent most of the day in Fredericksburg, Virginia and then headed to Fairfax, Virginia where I would find rest for the night. This new device called a GPS would take me to each location that I needed to go. It will tell you what road to take and where to turn. If you miss your turn it will recalculate your route and get you back on track. The biggest problem that I had with the GPS is learning to trust the direction that it was taking me in. But as time goes you learn to trust in what it is telling you to do. In many ways this is how the Holy Spirit works in our lives. God charts out a route for us to take but we tend to follow our own directions and before you know it we are lost. Christ sent the Holy Spirit to talk to us in that small quiet voice to help get us back on track. The biggest problem we have is learning to trust the direction He is guiding us in. We think we know what is best and how to get there. But we have to depend on God’s GPS (God’s Personal Servant) the Holy Spirit to help us along the way. All we have to do is believe, trust and follow Him. And at the end of our journey, we will find rest. My prayer for us is that we will find some quiet time to let Christ guide and direct us in the paths that we need go. Then to have the courage to go out and do as He commands. May Christ be with you in all that you do.
